Clusters are groupings of stars. Some are loose groupings of a few or a few dozen stars and others are tight groupings of millions of stars. In general clusters are classified as either open clusters (sometimes called galactic clusters) or globular clusters. Sometimes clusters are associated with nebulosity, usually the nebula in which they formed.
