IC405 is a combination of reflection and emission nebula located in the constellation Auriga. The blue/light purple area you see that appears around the star near the center of the frame is the reflection component and the dimmer red area that surrounds both the star and reflection nebula is the Hydrogen Alpha emission nebula. While the star near the center of the frame is relatively bright and easy to see in a small scope, the surrounding nebulosity is pretty dim. I was not able to see it visually in the 80mm APO I used to take this photo.
